Say Hello to Hillside Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Gretel Pérez!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Hillside Public Schools proudly celebrates and recognizes Dr. Gretel Pérez, the first Hispanic female Superintendent of Schools in the district’s history!

Dr. Pérez’s historic milestone represents more than a new chapter in leadership—it reflects the power of representation, the importance of embracing our diverse backgrounds, and the limitless possibilities that come when we break barriers and open doors for future generations, truly embodying the theme of "Hillside One".

As we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of the Hispanic community, we are especially proud to recognize Dr. Pérez’s achievement and the inspiration her leadership brings to our students, educators, families, and community. Her milestone reminds our students that their heritage is a source of strength and that they, too, can make history!

Please join us in celebrating Dr. Gretel Pérez and this proud moment for Hillside Public Schools!
