Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day from Hillside Public Schools! On Saturday, January 18th, 2025, Hillside Public Schools District hosted its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Program at Hillside High School. The program was amazing not only because of the exceptional performances by each of our schools' students, as well as the decorative artwork done by Hillside Innovation Academy students, but also because of the high positive energy of the audience! The auditorium was full of parents, Hillside community members, Hillside Board of Education members, Hillside Town Council members, families, staff, and more! Great work to all of our students, including Hillside High School Senior Sarah Auguste who was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event! Shout out to Superintendent Glover, Hillside Board of Education President Ms. Best, U.S. Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, Hillside High School Vice-Principals Mrs. Bartholomew and Mr. Emenaka, who all spoke at the ceremony. Last but certainly not least, thank you to all of our Hillside Public Schools music and dance teachers, without whom we could not have this incredible event honoring Dr. King's Legacy! Toys were donated by @att pioneers, a non-profit national network of volunteers.
